Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Billshy platform operated by Billshy (“Billshy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Billshy.
1. Description of Service
Billshy is a workers’ compensation billing workflow platform. The service enables authorized users to create cases, upload source documents, extract and review billing data, generate CMS-1500 forms and submission packages, and manage electronic claim submission workflows.Billshy is intended for use by billing professionals, healthcare providers, and their authorized representatives.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization. When you register for an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep that information current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Authorized Use
Billshy is provided exclusively for lawful billing operations. You agree to:
- Use the platform only for its intended purpose of workers’ compensation billing and related administrative workflows.
- Ensure the accuracy of all data entered into the system, including patient information, diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and claim details.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including healthcare privacy and billing compliance requirements.
- Refrain from attempting to access data belonging to other organizations, circumventing security controls, or using the platform in any manner that could impair its integrity or availability.
4. Organization and Team Responsibilities
Organization administrators are responsible for managing team membership, assigning roles (admin, biller, viewer), and configuring billing ownership settings. The organization account holder is responsible for all actions taken by authorized members within their workspace, including document uploads, draft approvals, and claim submissions.
5. Billing and Payment
Billshy offers subscription-based pricing with usage-based charges. Fees may include a monthly base subscription and per-transaction usage fees assessed on approved billing workflows. Payment is processed through Stripe, our third-party payment provider. Specific pricing terms, including applicable rates and billing cycles, are defined in your organization’s service agreement and configured within the platform.
You agree to pay all fees associated with your use of Billshy. Failure to maintain current payment information or satisfy outstanding balances may result in suspension or termination of access to the platform.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Billshy platform, including its software, design, documentation, and trademarks, are owned by Billshy. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the platform. You retain ownership of the data you submit to Billshy, subject to our right to use that data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Service Availability and Modifications
We strive to maintain high availability of the Billshyplatform but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features at any time. Material changes that affect billing, data handling, or access will be communicated to account owners in advance. Continued use of Billshy after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Billshyshall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Billshy, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to Billshy in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Billshy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will meet your specific requirements, that extracted billing data will be free of errors, or that generated documents will satisfy all payer or regulatory requirements without review.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or unlawful activity, or fail to satisfy payment obligations. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Data retention following termination is governed by our Privacy Policy and any applicable contractual obligations.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
